Hello! I'm a little drunk right now but this picture is throwing me for a loop. Is this chromatic aberration happening in my glasses? This is intense, your lines and colors are spot on for chromatic aberration.
Man, usually I have to move pictures to the edge of my glasses to see if the colors move but it's not working now. I mean, its clear you have experience in this stuff so how did you do this? is the outline a separate layer that you duplicated and shifted? How'd you change its color?
Real great to see this kind of work and detail. Look forward to more!
it is chromatic aberration, I meant for it to be visible but not too jarring, just enough to separate a few areas. You can do this fairly easily in Chibi Paint by copying your master layer linework, locking it, and recoloring it blue or red. Chibi paint lets you change a layer's style as well (like Photoshop), so you change your layer to a 'screen' or 'soft light'. Minimize opacity and manually offset it to your liking.
The farther away an offset is, the farther away you have to be for your eyes to be tricked into seeing a third dimension. Hope this helps!
I really dislike these towers, we have them here in mall parking lots. Wish I could just drive them off a cliff. Sorry for taking it out on your picture.
This has a Wright Bros at Kitty Hawk meets Frank Herbert's Dune feel. (By way of Paul Klee.) I like the ribbed textures and the slight hint of tooth from the pixelated lines.
